2026-2027 Scholarship Competition

Every year, Holy Trinity Knights of Columbus (KofC) Council 9967 awards tuition-assistance scholarships (totaling $10K) to winning Holy Trinity Parishioner students.  

For the academic school year 2026-2027, the scholarships will be awarded at the beginning of the academic school year, starting in the fall (August-September) of 2026 and paid directly to the academic institution (including homeschool entities).
The purpose of these scholarships is to help eligible students to further their education by paying a portion of their Catholic (or Homeschool) High School and the after-high school education/training tuition fees. These scholarships are NOT based on financial need or academic achievement.
 

Eligibility:

  • Eligibility: All participants/Applicants in this competition must be a Holy Trinity Catholic Church registered parishioner (e.g., Immediate family is defined as (child) the son or daughter, stepchild, foster child or an adopted child of a registered parishioner). A registered parishioner is determined by the parent or grandparent or emancipated adult under the age of 25 and is verified as a parishioner by the church registrar.  

Additionally, Applicants must meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • Be a student continuing their high school education (grades 9-12) at a Catholic High School within the San Antonio Archdiocese or,

  • Be a student continuing their high school education (grades 9-12) in a Homeschool Program within the San Antonio Archdiocese or,

  • Be a first- or second-year student attending an after-high school education/training program via a business school, trade school, community college, undergraduate 4-year college or university.

Scholarship Award Amounts:

$500 is award to High School Winners

$1000 is awarded to After-High School Winners​

 

Competition Submission Time Frame: This year's competition opens on Sunday, February 1st 2026, and closes on Sunday, April 12th, 2026, at 9 pm (CST).

Application Deadline: The Council must receive your completed application and all required documents for submission in the 2026-2027 academic school year scholarship competition; all documents must be received via email by Sunday, April 12th, 2026, with a date-time stamp of no later than 9:00 pm Central Standard Time. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule. The date and time stamped by our receiving email inbox validate compliance. Applicants will be notified by email by the Knights of Columbus after receiving their applications for consideration.

Notification of Winners: Winning Applicants will be notified via email and/or phone call. This notification is scheduled to take place no later than the end of May 2026. The winning Applicant(s) will be required to complete an additional school identification form, identifying the school payee account number, school’s address and the Applicant’s school student number.
